This is a recording of our Tuesday evening Dhamma class from Cross River Meditation Center in Frenchtown, New Jersey on July 2, 2019. The stream begins every Tuesday at 7:15 PM Eastern US time.
My Tuesday evening Dhamma talk and our sangha discussion is on the Sabbasava Sutta. In the Sabbasava Sutta, the Buddha teaches the ending of mental fermentations through appropriate, or refined mindfulness.
“Friends, the ending of the fermentations is for one who knows and understands skillful and unskillful mindfulness. The ending of the fermentations is not possible by one who does not know or understand skillful and unskillful mindfulness...” (Sabbasava Sutta)

Each Tuesday class will have a twenty-minute Shamatha-Vipassana meditation followed by my Dhamma talk and Sangha discussion and conclude with an offering of Metta.
