Dhamma-Viharin Sutta Dwelling In The Dhamma August 4 2018

Saturday Aug 04, 2018
This is a live stream and recording of our Saturday morning Dhamma class from Cross River Meditation Center in Frenchtown, New Jersey on August 4, 2018. The stream begins every Saturday at 8:30 AM Eastern US time.
My Dhamma talk and our sangha discussion will be on the Dhamma-Viharin Sutta. In the Dhamma-Viharin Sutta, the Buddha is teaching that engaging with the Dhamma through intellectual study alone will not develop cessation of craving after and clinging to views ignorant of Four Noble Truths, and the confusion and suffering that follows. ”
“Whatever a teacher should do out of sympathy for you and seeking your welfare, I have done for you. Over there are roots of trees and empty dwellings. Don’t be mindless, don’t fall into regret. Practice Right Meditation and develop meditative absorption. “ (Dhamma-Viharin Sutta)

Each Saturday class will have a thirty-minute Shamatha-Vipassana meditation followed by my Dhamma talk and Sangha discussion and conclude with Metta intentional meditation.
